Optimising recovery of upper limb function specific to reaching and grasping.

Course three of a three-part course series designed for physiotherapy assistants and carers working with individuals living with a neurological condition.

The course aims to improve the participants:

  • knowledge of analysing how their clients are moving and the impact this may be having on their functional performance in everyday activities
  • To adapt their own handling to optimise their client’s movement performance
  • To help them to support their clients to meet their rehabilitation goals

Duration: 1 day course, Saturday 9:30am – 4:30pm

Course Description: A one day workshop looking at the fundamentals of how we perform reach and grasp in daily activities. To give the participants practical skills and knowledge of how they can use this to optimise their patient’s performance in day to day activities such as feeding, dressing and movement between postures.

Course Tutors: Funeeza Hussain and Alison Edmonds-Nicholson (Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists in Neurological Rehabilitation)

Cost: £75 – Courses can be paid for individually; however, we have a discounted rate of £240 if all 3 are booked together.
