Shirley Brissenden Bsc(Hons) MCSP
Shirley has over 25 years’ experience working in the NHS as a practitioner in the assessment, treatment and case management of patients with complex neurological conditions including acquired/traumatic brain injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, spinal injuries, stroke and Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
During this time Shirley has worked in a variety of settings from out-patients and the community, delivering bespoke treatment programmes to meet patient’s individual goals, to working most recently on a regional neuro-rehabilitation unit, guiding patients through the early stages of their recovery.
Shirley is trained in the Bobath Concept to an advanced level after completing a number of advanced courses and workshops. She is enthusiast in applying this problem solving approach and is passionate about enabling her patients to optimise their potential recovery and achieve their goals.
