Funeeza Hussain BSc (Hons) MCSP

Funeeza is trained in the Bobath Concept to an advanced level and has been working within neuro-rehabilitation for over 14 years. Funeeza has worked in the NHS setting and in Private Practice, and enjoys taking a hands on approach to helping her patients move more efficiently to benefit their everyday lives.

Funeeza is MNC’s Social Media facilitator and relishes in keeping abreast all the knowledge and evidence that the ever expanding field of neurological rehabilitation offers, and sharing this with our followers on MNC’s social media platforms.

Funeeza is also the practice representative for Spinal Injury Conditions. Her role is to keep the team informed of the latest evidence base and maintains links with key organisations in this area including MASCIP, SIA, Spinal Research and Back Up as well as academic institutions involved in Spinal Injuries research. This role helps the practice to offer a seamless and comprehensive service to all our service users with spinal conditions.

Funeeza is a self confessed geek! She often has her head in a research paper and much to the delight of the rest of the team; she enjoys sharing her knowledge and findings. Funeeza has a passion for learning and teaching and is actively involved in the delivery of Physiotherapy Assistants courses at the Neurological Teaching Centre, and within the student teaching programme for the MMU prize placement scheme.

Funeeza is training to be an International Bobath Instructor. There are currently only 140 instructors worldwide and only 40 in training, 4 of which are in the UK.
