Claudio Bellani BSc(hons)
Claudio qualified in Physiotherapy from the University of Milan, Italy in 2008
He has always had a passion for neurological physiotherapy since University, having been supervised by a Bobath tutor during clinical placements. In 2009 he started working as a junior rotational physiotherapist for the Italian health system in a large Milan hospital (Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico). He then specialised in general neurology, neurosurgery and neuro intensive care working with acute and subacute patients.
More recently, he has worked as a physiotherapist specialising in Stroke and contributing to the development and delivering of the physio service on the Stoke Unit.
As well as clinical work, Claudio has been involved in leading teaching sessions within the neuro team and as a clinical supervisor to junior physio’s in the Stroke Unit.
Claudio has completed the Basic Bobath Course, and several advanced courses and short courses on Cerebellar ataxia and handling.
He is creative, dedicated and a Bobath enthusiast! He has a special interest in linking selective movement to postural control. Claudio is eager to make patients active contributors to their potential and further develop Bobath skills within the MNC team.
