Alison Edmonds-Nicholson MCSP
Alison qualified with a graduate diploma in physiotherapy from Manchester Royal Infirmary School of Physiotherapy in 1987. Her interest in neurology began in 1989 during junior rotational experience at The Floyd Unit for Neurological Rehabilitation. She took over as Senior Therapist there in 1990 and remained in that post until she left to work for herself in 1997.
She completed her 3 weeks Basic Bobath course in 1993 and has attended two advanced Bobath courses, the most recent with Lynne Fletcher and Linzi Meadows this year. During this time Alison became an active member of the ACPIN committee, first as membership secretary and then as chairman.
Alison joined the team in 2005 and has completed 2 advanced courses (the most recent being with Lynne Fletcher and Linzi Meadows). She has attended many courses since working at MNC to develop her skills, and over the last two years has developed and taught on a weekend course for physiotherapy assistants.
Alison has experienced working on individuals who have a wide range of neurological conditions and has a special interest in complex cases.
