National Clinical Guideline Centre

The National Clinical Guideline Centre (NCGC) develops clinical guidelines on behalf of the National Institute for Health & Clinical Excellence (NICE) to describe care for long term conditions delivered across primary and secondary care.

NCGC was formed in April 2009 by the merger of four national collaborating centres. It is governed by a partnership between the Royal Colleges of General Practitioners, Nursing, Physicians and Surgeons, with Management Board representation from Cochrane UK, the SW Strategic Health Authority and the RCP Patient and Carer Network.
