A new documentary – A Different Brain from Louis Theroux is to be aired Sunday 15th May at 9pm on BBC2, and looks at the life changing effects of brain injuries and how people and their families come to terms with this.

The documentary will look at the extensive rehabilitation process by a range of specialist therapists such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language that are are essential for helping people effected from a brain injury to start rebuilding their lives. In the programme, two of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) centres will be featured as they tell the story of brain injury survivors.

The hope is that this programme will raise awareness and understanding about life after a brain injury and the difficulties that are faced following this life changing condition.
